An HTML coming soon template gives you a page to put on your domain while the real site is still being built. It tells visitors what is coming, collects email addresses, and stops your domain from showing a blank or broken page.
This list covers coming soon, under construction and launch pages in plain HTML. Most of the dedicated coming soon page template options are free and come from outside libraries, so we list those honestly with their license terms. We also include three one page HTML templates from TNCFlow that work as a fuller launch page when a countdown alone is not enough.
A launch page is temporary. Further down you will find the full site templates to move to once the countdown ends, all from our HTML templates collection.

The best HTML coming soon and launch page templates
1. Bookish TNC

Bookish TNC is a book website template for novelists, independent publishers and self published writers. It is the closest thing in the TNCFlow catalog to a ready launch page, because it includes four one page launch layouts, one of them a dark variant.
It is not a countdown template. Use it when you want a launch page that already explains the product, shows the cover or hero image, and asks for a preorder or signup, instead of a single line saying the site is coming soon. The same layout suits other single product launches if you swap the copy and images.
The HTML version costs $11. Bookish TNC is also available for Webflow and Figma.

2. TNC Sales Funnel

TNC Sales Funnel is a single landing page built for online courses, coaching offers and workshops. The page carries nine sections, running from the hero promise through the course outline, testimonials and FAQ to a closing call to action.
That structure makes it a good waitlist page. Before launch, point the call to action at your email signup and trim the sections you cannot fill yet. On launch day, change the same page into the sales page without rebuilding anything.
The HTML version costs $11. It also exists for Webflow and Figma.

3. SalesAi TNC

SalesAi TNC is a one page SaaS website template for AI sales platforms, marketing automation tools and B2B software startups. The one page layout has hero, features, pricing, testimonials and contact sections, and the template also includes six supporting pages.
For a software prelaunch, start with the one page layout alone: hero, a short feature list and the contact section as your early access form. The pricing section and supporting pages are ready for when the product opens.
The HTML version costs $11. SalesAi TNC is also available for Webflow and Figma.

4. Start Bootstrap Coming Soon
A free, open source coming soon theme from Start Bootstrap with a full screen video background, an image fallback for mobile devices and a prebuilt email signup form. It is released under the MIT license, so personal and commercial use are both allowed. Styles are written in SCSS if you want to change them at the source.
Start Bootstrap Coming Soon is available from GitHub.
5. Colorlib Coming Soon V08
A free under construction template with a countdown timer, an email subscription field and a full screen background. The current version is plain HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript with no jQuery or plugins, which keeps it small. It is licensed under CC BY 3.0, so keep the attribution unless you arrange otherwise with Colorlib. Colorlib publishes many numbered variants in the same series if this layout is not the one you want.
Colorlib Coming Soon V08 is available from Colorlib.
6. UIdeck Launch
A minimal Bootstrap and HTML5 page for coming soon, product launch and under construction use, with a customisable countdown section and a hand drawn background. The free lite version is for personal use only. Commercial licenses were listed at $12 and $24 when we checked, so check current pricing before you buy.
UIdeck Launch is available from UIdeck.
7. Coming2Live
A free coming soon template with 10 demo variations, a countdown timer, social icons and several background styles including video, slideshow and particles. ThemeWagon lists it as free for commercial use. It is built on Bootstrap 3 and jQuery, which is older code, so it suits a short lived holding page more than a long term one.
Coming2Live is available from ThemeWagon.
8. Stay Tuned
A free Bootstrap coming soon page with a countdown timer, a newsletter subscription box and a video popup. It is described as suitable for launches, maintenance and under construction notices. The license terms are not spelled out on the listing, so read them in the download before using it for a client.
Stay Tuned is available from Awaiken Themes.
9. Khronos
A free coming soon template from Styleshout with three style variations: a static background, a slideshow and a particle background. It is responsive and retina ready, with a clean look that suits creative work. The free version carries a credit link, and Styleshout offers a way to remove it.
Khronos is available from Styleshout.
How to choose a coming soon page template
A coming soon page has one job, so judge templates on a short list of things.
- Signup form. A design only gives you the form fields. You still need to connect it to your email service, so check how the form submits before you commit.
- Countdown. Use one only if the date is fixed. A countdown that hits zero with no site behind it looks worse than no countdown.
- Weight. Video and slideshow backgrounds look good but slow the page. A plain image or colour loads faster on mobile.
- License. Free does not always mean free for commercial work. MIT is open, CC BY needs attribution, and some lite versions are personal use only.
- How long it stays up. For a week, any simple under construction template will do. For a few months, use a launch page with real content so search engines and visitors have something to read.
When the launch page is done, you need the full site
A holding page buys you time. It does not replace the website. Pick the full template early, so the launch page and the final site share the same colours, fonts and tone. These TNCFlow HTML templates are complete sites you can edit in any code editor, and each purchase covers one website.
- MNC ($21). A corporate website template for multinational groups, enterprise service firms and professional services companies.
- Scalepro ($21). An AI SaaS website template for automation platforms, lead generation tools and growth agencies, with features, integrations, pricing and blog pages.
- Consultor ($18). A consulting website template for independent consultants, advisory firms and professional services practices.
- Axure ($21). A portfolio website template for creative agencies, design studios and freelance designers, with a filterable work grid and case study pages.
- Hosteve ($18). A dark event website template for event management agencies, conference organisers and wedding planners.
If you launched with one of the one page templates above, you can keep that page as your homepage and add inner pages as the business grows.
Want it built for you?
If you would rather not touch the code, the TNCFlow team can set up your launch page, connect the signup form, then customise and launch the full template when you are ready. Book a free call to talk it through.
Frequently asked questions
What is an HTML coming soon template?
It is a ready made single page, built in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, that you upload to your domain before the real website is finished. It usually shows a short message, a countdown or launch date, and an email signup form.
What is the difference between a coming soon page and an under construction page?
A coming soon page announces something new and tries to collect interest before launch. An under construction template is used when an existing site is offline for a rebuild or maintenance. The layouts are nearly the same, so most templates work for both.
Are free coming soon templates safe to use for a business?
Often yes, but check the license. MIT licensed templates allow commercial use. Creative Commons Attribution templates need a credit link. Some free versions are for personal use only and require a paid license for business sites.
Does the email signup form work out of the box?
Usually not. The template gives you the form design. You need to connect it to an email service or a form handler so the addresses are saved somewhere.
Should a coming soon page have a countdown timer?
Only if your launch date is firm. If the date may move, show a short message and a signup form instead, and email people when the site is live.
Can I turn a launch page into a full website later?
Yes. A one page template can stay as your homepage while you add more pages, or you can replace it with a full multi page HTML template once the site is ready.
